FDP Highlights
Additive manufacturing is poised to bring about a revolution in the way products are designed, manufactured and distributed to end users. This technology has gained significant academic as well as industry interest due to its ability to create complex geometries with customizable material properties.
Using computer aided design (CAD) or 3D object scanners, additive manufacturing allows for the creation of objects with precise geometric shapes. These are built layer by layer which is in contrast to traditional manufacturing that often requires machining or other techniques to remove surplus material.
This 5-days Faculty Development Program has provided all the necessary and relevant information to the participants . After the completion of this FDP program participants can exploit the potential of 3D printing technology including 3D-scanning and 3D modelling.
Online sessions has been taken by the experienced faculty members from IITs/IIITs/NITs and other reputed institutions and professionals from 3D-printing industries.
